The UK Centre for the History of Nursing and Midwifery is an academic research centre located within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work, The University of Manchester.  The Centre has close collaborative links with the Royal College of Nursing Archives.

The RCN archives is very active in collecting biographical information about nurses. They record oral history interviews, collect press cuttings about nursing and the obituaries of nurses. (See Archives)

We scan the national press regularly, but do not see your local press - can you help us with press cuttings? We would be interested in receiving press cuttings about nursing, and obituaries of nurses from your local press. We will put these on the website on a regular basis.
