Work in progress
Contact, Contagion and Communication: The Role of the Nurse in relation to Tuberculosis (TB) 1930-1970
A HEFCE funded project at UWE, Faculty of Health and Social Care
TB nursing has been doubly marginalised both within the social history of medicine and withinnursing itself. The aim of this a project is to remedy the neglect within health history of the contribution of nursing to the care of patients with TB. This significant element is missing in the historiography of TB.
Data collection and analysis from archival sources-historical nursing texts and journal articles and oral sources -interviews with retired TB nurses working across the time frame of the study.
