To promote understanding of the role which nursing has played in the development of health care and society, the Centre:

• seeks funding for scholarships and fellowships in the History of Nursing/Midwifery
• offers PhD and MPhil supervision in the History of Nursing/Midwifery
• is developing a Masters in the History of Nursing/Midwifery
• provides a supportive network for teachers of the History of Nursing/Midwifery
• promotes the inclusion of History of Nursing/Midwifery in undergraduate and diploma programmes
